If you are searching for an over-the-top jolly experience to get you in a festive mood for the holidays, I suggest Bar Julian’s Frosty’s Social Club – the pop-up holiday rooftop bar that pairs festive cheer with a vintage, 60s retro aesthetic. It’s located at the Thompson Savannah by Hyatt Hotel, and it’s the tallest rooftop bar in Savannah with the best views of the river. If you’re looking for unforgettable things to do in Savannah at Christmas, this rooftop experience belongs at the top of your list.
Step Into a 1960s-Inspired Holiday Lounge Above the Savannah River

As I stepped off the elevator and entered the space, I gasped with excitement. The stunning mid-century chic modern bar, complete with a retro record player and a beautiful array of colorful Christmas trees, took me back to my childhood, and just like that…I was transported to one of my parents’ Christmas parties from the 1960s.
Album covers, tons of shiny tinsel, and festively glowing oversized twinkle lights set the stage for this incredible pop-up holiday lounge, and a new tradition for Christmas in Savannah.

The whole experience is perfectly nostalgic. Polaroids of family gatherings dot the signature cocktail menu. And Bar Julian went above and beyond, designing festive and fun creative drinks that really hit home around the holidays, cocktails like “Family Drama,” “Hosting my In-Laws,” and “Naughty Saint Nick.” I tasted a few, enjoying “Family Drama” (Grey Goose vodka, pomegranate mulled wine syrup, lemon, holiday tincture), “Parking Lot Christmas Tree” (Patron Blanco tequila, crème de menthe, Borghetti, cold brew, cold foam), and “Drive Through Light Show” (hot chocolate with whipped cream, holiday sparkle, Bacardi 8-Year aged rum). Each was enchanting. They paired well with my appetizers and got me right in the holiday spirit.
As a Savannah local, I can tell you, the menu is always spot on at Bar Julian. However, Frosty’s “Bites” menu is truly special with creative and diverse dishes like the Mediterranean-inspired Clark’s Crunchers crispy tots with queso, Uncle Marvin’s Glazed Wings, Fa-La-La-La-La Falafel chickpea bites, Mistletoe Melt, and Keep the Change, Ya Filthy Cheddar fried mac & cheese balls.
Private Heated Igloos: Savannah’s Coziest Holiday Experience

Now, for those seeking a more intimate experience, one of the most unique features of this holiday pop-up bar are the heated igloos. I spent three hours on a recent evening lounging in what I can only describe as a cozy, snow globe holiday hideaway. Each two-hour igloo reservation includes a celebratory sparkling wine toast, plush blankets, curated music, classic board games, and a Polaroid camera to capture the moment – oh what fun! It’s best enjoyed with a group, as it does have a minimum per-person charge applied to the holiday or Bar Julian menu, but it’s perfect for groups looking to enjoy drinks, bites, and holiday magic in style.
A Festive Rooftop Bar Experience You’ll Only Find in Savannah

Whether you’re sipping a seasonal cocktail under the stars, snapping a photo in your private igloo, or simply soaking in the panoramic views, Frosty’s Social Club delivers a festive, memorable escape high above the Hostess City. It’s an ideal stop on any Savannah itinerary, especially for travelers seeking a blend of seasonal cheer and sophisticated comfort.
And speaking of sophisticated comfort, for my special night, I chose these elegant sequin gold pants because they make every outfit feel like a celebration, and they’re so glam.
Paired with a simple black scoop-neck top, they’re proof that one bold piece can instantly elevate your look. (I actually had women stop me to say how beautiful I looked and ask where I got these gorgeous pants, so I just wanted to share with y’all!)
